In the 1990s, the Chinese government loosened regulations on its housing market, allowing its 1.2 billion citizens to own private homes for the first time since the communist revolution in 1949. Home improvement and furniture companies such as Sweden's IKEA and the U.K.'s B&Q rushed in to meet the need.bought the Chinese home improvement company Home Way and its 12 stores in the country.
But by 2012, Home Depot closed the last seven of its 12 original stores. The company doesn't break out sales data by country, but data from Euromonitor shows that China accounted for only about 0.3% of Home Depot's annual net sales. Analysts say that Home Depot failed to do its homework on the Chinese market, missing the mark on consumer needs and culture.
If you really want to think about it what is American made America has become so greedy and so drug dependent it just want to make money off of what somebody else makes and that why we fall behind
Home Depot forgot to include the physical labors need to do the work.🤡👺
Every country has different customs 🛃 and is different in they’re own way 🗺
“Analysts say?” You lost me after that. An analyst is just a glorified guesser.
Analysts are probably the dumbest people on earth. If analysis were 100%, there would be no guessing. Homework? I guess the Chinese don’t use tools and they make homes with mud. Gtfoh

Too expensive for Chinese
This might be the biggest dog shit article I’ve ever read. Literally no info
Why? 'Home Depot failed to do its homework on the Chinese market, missing the mark on consumer needs and culture' 💥 Gee thanks for that elucidating article
never heard home depot. but b&q was once successful here. finally ikea has survived and would live quite a long time as no compitator. here is a slogan is 'if you be 1st in china you will be 1st in the world'
