Gardai arrest man who asked kids to 'go for ice-cream' in estate in Swords, Co Dublin

A man who had allegedly approached a number of children was arrested by gardai over a "public intoxication incident" in a Dublin housing estate.

Parents in Swords raised the alarm on Tuesday after a man had allegedly followed the kids around an estate and asked them to "go for ice-cream". Gardai responded to the scene in Boroimhe and arrested a man who was taken to Swords Garda Station, Dublin Live reports.The spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí in Swords have arrested a male in his 30s following a public intoxication incident that occurred at approximately 2.30pm on 1st July 2019 at Boroimhe Rowan, Swords, Dublin.
