AUDIO: Assistant Housing Minister accused of being insensitive to homelessness

The newly appointed Federal Assistant Housing Minister, Luke Howarth, has been accused of being insensitive to the issue of homelessness, after disputing the statistics and insisting he wants to put a"positive spin" on the issue.

A number of Australia's Lord Mayors are meeting the Minister in Brisbane today to discuss the issue of homelessness. People who work with the homeless say there's nothing positive about not having a roof over your head.

An LNP minister unfit for their cabinet? Pull the other one?! auspol

NO ! LNP insensitive ? They don't give priority to vulnerable groups They don't care Self interest privilege wealth accumulation and power is it with this mob The dishonesty and manipulation is very evident Don't understand people's surprise at their behaviour It's obvious

Maybe let him live for a month on the streets in order to develop the qualifications for his portfolio.

The FOOL needs a dose of reality!

that's so wrong !! he's not insensitive to homelessness .. he's just INSENSITIVE

Sensitive Ministers ? in A racist Nation will not exists for ever foreign Names you have no luck so ever?.God save you if you Christian , keep your faith , and your Sir Name is your !, will never taken from you . Keep to the day you live

Isn't 'insensitive' a precondition for LNP preselection?

Disgraceful, if he's not up to the job resign, the less fortunate people of Australia deserve better than him.

He doesn’t want his portfolio to be such a ‘effin downer (for him).

My sister is a DV victim has waited 7 years in QLD for social housing on very high needs if she was a refugee she would be rehomed straight away they need to put Australians first
