The WA Government says it will push for major iron ore industry players to buy up residential properties in Port Hedland, amid a long-running dispute over dust pollution levels in the Pilbara town.

Dust levels have long been an issue in Port Hedland, home to the world's largest bulk exports portA report released last year recommended a cap on the West End district's population

"Let us move forward and one of the ways to move forward is to give them a fair buyback scheme," Mr Michel said. "So look I thought it was a good thing to bring it up and make people understand I am fighting and I will work very hard to make sure we can come to a solution."
