Objections by landlords must be lodged within 14 days with the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal, which would decide whether the tenant's plans were reasonable. Last week, the NT Government said it was delaying the commencement of the changes in order to focus on its coronavirus response.

Do these interstate landlords think that people’s pets up in the NT are crocodiles & wild boars? Kids can do much more damage to property then a dog or cat.
Through my non -narrow field of vision , I can see & hear the palpable shudders & indignation of the ‘lords’ of the land . Funny how I see it as business but they can’t . I shall await the seething wrath of the lords of the land . Bring it on !
99.9 % of ‘lords!’ Have zero Intention of ever living in their rental property, so why not allow the tenant to decorate at own expense ( perhaps paying extra bond added to weekly rent ) but alas it’s all about pretentious control & the use of the word portfolio 😂
The poor unimaginative & deluded ‘lord !’will one day be forced to realise that his rental property is a place of business & not his second home. When this capitalist deluded soul does, the tenant will no longer live ‘camping’ but will paint & decorate etc .
One day things will be put right. The tenant who helps build the land lords retirement, will one day be recognised that he is not camping , but living , just like the ‘lord !’
It is said , that most humans only have feelings / compassion etc for those they can see right in front of them . How odd to be such a narrow human living in such a tiny space . Very odd.
Landlords no doubt shocked to find out they are in the shelter business & dealing with actual human beings ( with pets) & not selling tyres lol. Makes my day. Who cares , everyone just lies about having pets .
