As lockdowns ease, some countries report new infection peaks.

Countries across the world seek to get their economies back on track after COVID-19 coronavirus lockdowns are over, some people are encouraging the use of bicycles as a way to avoid unsafe crowding on trains and buses.

The transition to more bike-friendly urban environments “is necessary if we want our cities to work,” said Morton Kabell, who co-chairs the European Cyclists’ Federation. “A lot of people will be afraid of going on public transportation, but we have to get back to work someday. Very few of our cities can handle more car traffic,” he said.

This is a foreseeable consequence of premature easing of restrictions without sufficient PPE, testing, and contact tracing. Unfortunately, this same phenomenon is likely to afflict certain states with alarming vigor in the coming weeks.

Is okay, the Trumpers have already sworn that the reaction to the pandemic is overblown and they totally know what they are doing - so if there is a second epidemic, it is 100% on the Trumpers.
