IGP seeks housing allowance increase for his men

POLICE are seeking government help to ease their burden due to the rising cost of living, especially those in the lower ranks, by increasing their housing allowance. Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said this followed complaints by police personnel in having to pay high house rentals, especially those posted in big cities, as the allowance they received was not enough.
