But blamed everyone else in the process except themselves...

Too little, too late. I'll believe it when I see it. Funding doesn't make conditions safe, not does it make staff want to stay in the jobs being funded. It doesn't take 4 yrs to train properly trained staff of all levels of care provision. Reactive funding doesn't fix the problem

Why must it take a “scathing report” to get action? That is, if there is action.

Yet no resignation no firing zero responsibility zero credibility

Ya ya. We’ve heard it all before. They need to address it, don’t get me wrong, but do we believe they really will? No. No we don’t. 😔

What's the point of these scathing reports if nothing ever changes

That’s the key to action — a scathing report? fordnation OntarioPCParty ALWAYS *reactive* and still a failure. NEVER *proactive*. They had the recos a year ago. ResignDougFord OneTermPremier VoteFordOut2022

You mean the funding & inspections that Merilee herself cut in one of her first moves as Minister?

Too little too late.

They announced a plan to increase the number of hours of PSW care residents get after wave 1 but it would take a number of years to get there. I hope they are faster about their fixes this time and I hope the promised funding help from the fed budget happens too. LTC is a mess.

There's no room for profit in senior care. It's long past time to nationalize retirement and nursing homes, inspection should be unannounced but at a MINIMUM quarterly.

They said they were going to do that after the first round of Covid deaths, didn’t they? Why should we believe them now?
