KOTA KINABALU: Residents in Taman Bandar Sierra and Taman Rimba di Telipok are fed up of the water disruption in their areas since April 23.One of its residents, Tony Paridi Bagang, said they had suffered greatly over the past week. The Universiti Teknologi Mara Sabah lecturer said the residents were disappointed that JANS had ignored their pleas and had not taken any proactive steps to supply them with water.“JANS has taken the easy way out by putting up a warning notice that Taman Bandar Sierra is a water supply rationing area,” he told FMT.

Bagang said residents had been experiencing similar water shortage for more than five years and JANS should have long-term plans in place by now to solve the problem. “Residents have to spend more to buy drinking water. Imagine the extra cost the people have been bearing all this while,” he said.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
