Residents from Greater Sydney are travelling up to 70 kilometres from their homes to receive a COVID vaccination.NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard says "nothing is more important" than getting the vaccineThirroul GP Dr Ann Ellacott said her practice in the state's Illawarra had received an influx of more than 100 appointments from the Sydney area for the Pfizer jab.
"It did catch us off guard because we appreciate people can go outside their local government area and outside the 10 kilometres to get their medical treatment, to have a vaccination.It comes after the New South Wales Health Minister urged doctors not to block patients who live more than 10 kilometres from the medical centre from booking an appointment for the jab.
