Minister for Housing Darragh O'Brien has since condemned the ads and urged tenants to contact the Gardaí regarding those they come across.that he has sought advice on extending rent pressure zone across the country.

According to the Examiner, one ad was showing a house in Newcastlewest, Limerick that was looking for a single lady"with a twist", with the ad saying:Looking into the advertisement further, the landlord said that sexual activity was required on a weekly basis and then rent would be reduced to €200 for the first month and €250 each month after.

Another ad showed a property in Dublin that was offering a room for free in exchange for a"friends with benefits" deal.
