Each of the malls will have up to five electric vehicle charging points, Frasers Property Retail said in a statement on Monday , adding the move reflects its “commitment to becoming a net-zero carbon corporation by 2050.
Mr Tan Kee Yong, the chief operating officer of Frasers Property Retail, said the availability and accessibility of charging stations is “key to greater adoption of EVs, especially when drivers can enjoy the added convenience of charging their vehicles on fast EV chargers when they go about their daily routine”.
According to Frasers, the charging points will allow drivers to fully charge their vehicles in as little as 30 minutes. The first phase of the roll out, expected to be completed by September this year, will see 27 charging points set up at eight malls, and will include the first deployment of Charge+ Turbo chargers and a Tesla Supercharger station in Waterway Point shopping mall to serve the Punggol area.Northpoint City in Yishun
