The Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria (AHCN) will be holding a two-day national workshop on facilitating affordable housing for medium and low- income earners tomorrow in Jos.

The theme of the workshop is “Housing Deficit and the Challenges of Low-Income Earners in Nigeria.” The 108th council meeting of the association is combined with the event.

The workshop will also examine the role of Industrial Training Fund in the training of skilled manpower to cater for the needs of the construction industry, the role of stakeholders in the provision of affordable housing for low-income earners as well as FMBN in funding affordable housing as a panacea for ameliorating housing deficit among low-income earners: The Plateau State Experience, among others.

The Commissioner of Housing in Plateau Sate, Zulfa Rimven as well as his counterpart in the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Yakubu Datti will also be speaking at the event.
