I’m a senior seriously thinking of retiring outside of BC. Too dangerous now. The homeless population has assaulted, robbed, damaged my car, & threatened me as I was offering housing, employment, &/or clothing. We’re screwed.

Unfortunate situation for him specifically but also he needs to be looking at the entire province not just urban Vancouver. The rules they have in place and their inability to streamline provincial permitting issues is absolutely contributing to the housing problem

'I no longer have confidence': BC Housing CEO stepping down, citing recent violence against homelessBC Housing CEO Shayne Ramsey is stepping down from the organization, saying he no longer has confidence he can 'solve the complex problems facing us at BC Housing.' Tent cities are not a solution. Poverty is an issue resolved with sustainable employment. If we do not have enough housing or work on the island than we need to stop importing people to the island until we do. Basic common sense. This does not reflect on him. Bigger issue. How can the public have any confidence in Dave_Eby This was his responsibility and it is in more disarray than ever. The fish rots from the head. Amazing how many big top jobs in Canada pay hundreds of thousands of dollars...but these very supposedly smart people will not work with each other to figure out housing. jjhorgan HonAhmedHussen Taleeb RosieBarton
