Residents across Australia's east coast are being asked to check their homes for mould before a third La Niña event. Experts say remaining moisture and humidity levels have created a breeding ground for mould, posing a health risk. MORE: 9News

Experts say remaining moisture and humidity levels in south-east Queensland have created the perfect breeding ground for mould, which can pose a significant health threat.

The warning comes as dozens of areas across the state are still recovering from devastating floods earlier this year.Residents across Australia's east coast are being asked to check their homes for mould as the country enters another La Nina event.Experts are urging people to check their homes for any small growths of mould to try to prevent further growth of the fungi.

It is best to look around and in cupboards, behind couches, behind bed heads, as well as outside the home.Experts advise residents to maintain as much airflow through their properties as possible following wet weather events and to eliminate any pools of water in a bid to prevent mould. Ceiling and pedestal fans are also recommended to maintain airflow and residents with damp problems are encouraged to leave windows open, particularly in bathrooms and laundries.

La nina?😂 What you meant to say was a third bio engineered event. The east coast has been getting Chem trailed and chem bombed for long enough. Do an in depth honest report on that if you can remember what honest is.

9NewsSyd Wait a minute... did you just mention La Niña? A natural, normal cycle of Earths change in climate since the beginning of time? How can we stop this from happening? Oh that's right; electric cars and higher utility costs. Got ya👌

Yep we've got a lot of mould in our house

U ^

My friends house in Brisbane is falling apart due to black mould and he is a carer with kids. Real estate won't get them out of that house or help them. Mould is no joke.

Because the planes are cloud seeding all day today

Im sure this will become the next reason for unexplained deaths too …

People who haven't had their immune systems invaded should be fine with the mould....

9NewsGoldCoast Mould is a rent free flatmate in my house. Our old unwashable 80’s made curtains have gone from cream to a lovely shade of mould. rentallife

Ive been living in mould worse than this for over three years….. it does nothing to your health

Best spray for molds! ALDIAustralia mix with water 👍🏻 tried it in our ceiling 💯

Avoid FNQ like the Mold-Plague...

You mean cloud seeding
