“Being a woman and mother in this business, the key was control and flexibility,' said Amy Malloy, who founded Evolve Ventures with Heather Personne.

As industry veterans with nearly 50 years of experience combined, Heather Personne and Amy Malloy were accustomed to successfully navigating the commercial real estate world.

And they’re letting other women professionals know they don’t have to choose, either. They host “Frappy Hours” with other women business leaders that take place later in the morning, after everyone drops their children off at school. Hiking and rafting trips form friendships — and accomplish deals. These events along with their work with landowners, brokers, developers, investors, tenants and public agencies has generated 400% growth over the past three years, Personne said.

Personne and Malloy’s connections with brokerage markets, knowledge of governance of property, architects and retail were impressive, he said. The chemistry also applied to their respective professional experiences and strategies. It was a perfect match. Evolve Ventures was born.
