Michael McAteer, outgoing managing partner of Grant Thornton Ireland, tells the Business Post he sees a return to confidence since Brexit and the pandemic, but also an acute danger to inward investment in the form of the housing crisis.

The sixth floor of Grant Thornton’s office building on City Quay in the Dublin docklands has some of the best views of our capital city.

Looking back up the river, you can see older landmarks like the Custom House, O’Connell Bridge and the Four Courts. In the opposite direction, the horizon is dominated by the modern offices and apartment blocks that line the edges of the Liffey as it flows into Dublin Bay.
