A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man in the Borders. Brian Kowbel, 40, was found injured at a property on Chris Paterson Place in Galashiels on Friday, February 17.
Mercy crews descended onto the address after receiving the alarm at 6pm. He was raced to Borders General Hospital, where he died a short time later. Police investigating the incident earlier confirmed they had arrested a 37-year-old woman in connection. She has since been charged and is due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court tomorrow.Detective Chief Inspector Bob Campbell said: “There was no risk to the wider community and local people may continue to see a police presence in the area in the coming days as part of our investigation.”
