On the last day of June, shortly after 7pm on a Friday, a press release was sent from a spokesman for Nama.

The release was short and to the point: “Nama sells remaining 20 per cent stake in Irish Glass Bottle project.” A consortium led by developer Johnny Ronan had bought the agency out of its holding in the last major strategic housing site in the capital city. It now owned the full lands outright.
