He said police had shown him pictures of his property on Muller Road where he had lived for a decade.Mr Barnes was in Brisbane when the fire broke out earlier this week and his friend Amanda Andrews rescued his three dogs and one of his cats.Ms Andrews described the rough conditions she faced at the height of the blaze on Tuesday."By the time was hitting the fire, the heat of the fire, everything was rushing up the side of the hill. The house didn't stand a chance.

Mr Storrs said crews were working with Ergon Energy and the local council to make the area safe first.
