Facebook has been charged by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, accused of using advertising that discriminates on the basis of race and colour.

The department is accusing Facebook of restricting who could see housing related advertisements based on religion, familial

status, sex and disability. On Thursday the tech giant announced it would ban any material that supports white supremacist views.
