House prices in London and the South East are expected to continue falling over the coming year, according to surveyors.

RICS said 24% of surveyors saw house prices falling in March, with predictions of a"modest fall" in prices at the national level over the next six months.

Simon Rubinsohn, RICS chief economist, said:"Brexit remains a major drag on activity in the market with anecdotal evidence pointing to potential buyers being reluctant to commit in the face of the heightened sense of uncertainty. And David Knights in Ipswich said the market continued to be"quite dominated by the Brexit discussions".

Isn't that good

I doubt that, brexit nothing to do with it, London & south east always had grossly overpriced property compared to the rest of the country. Prices come down cos no one can afford them & stop buying.

All the immigrants can’t afford the houses and the rest don’t want to live with them who the hell wants to live in stab city

Brexit hasn’t happened yet. The continued pissing around by our MPs might have prevented some confidence but houses still sell.

Do you think those on the breadline or the working class give a f**k? 😂

Bullshit.......property been over priced for 20yrs about time the bubble popped.....blame greed not brexit

Oh no

Crime rate

If in any doubt,blame brexit.

Blame blame blame Brexit, I’m surprised they haven’t blamed Brexit for the outrageous house prices in the 1990’s. House price are high because GREEDY house owners allowed gazumping to happen, estate agents cottoned on and raised house prices to the max.. karma

What about the biggest scam of the century Bitcoin?

Positive news.

'some recent indicators suggested it might be bottoming out'' As long as people can continue to pay mortgages then temporary fluctuations in value dont matter. Demand for UK housing assets will continue - and a reduced rate of increase in prices is not necessarily a bad thing..

Good they were to high anyway

Shame. Awful shame!

Is that a bad thing?

Ah diddums.

Reporting it like it’s a bad thing! It’s out of control

What Brexit ?

Well that’s one thing brexit has achieved!

Let's hope so, 3 bed used to be 40k before freedom of movement.

Good. Needs to happen was getting out of hand

Awwwww poor lovies!

They should surge now its been betrayed then

What a shame
