Former television reporter Bianca Stone has been picked by the LNP to run against Queensland Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon in the upcoming state election.reporter, was selected on Saturday to be the candidate for Gaven, on the Gold Coast. It comes after Stone resigned fromLNP opposition leader David Crisafulli said as a journalist for more than two decades, Stone had shown a passion for people and communities.

In the announcement, Stone said it was clear people were worried about their physical and economic security under Labor.
