Duterte to COA: Don't seek refund of Marawi rehab money spent on Hajj

Duterte, at an Eid'l Fitr celebration in Davao City on Thursday, June 6, said COA should have considered Muslim culture in assessing whether the funds were properly spent. P5 million.

The P5 million was part of the P500-million fund from the Office of the President for operational expenses of Task Force Bangon Marawi, headed by the HUDCC.

Mis-spending. People steal govt. funds to feed their fsmilies but it is still a crime and mamy have been punished for the crime. This is no different, even more serious because of the suffering being faced by the Marawi folks. You dont talk peace to people you are robbing!
