Property Property Headlines News

The Taoiseach said he accepts Minister Stephen Donnelly's explanation for failing to register a property with the Residential Tenancies Board.

The Taoiseach said he accepts Minister Stephen Donnelly's explanation for failing to register a property with the Residential Tenancies Board."I missed it. It was my fault, it was a mistake", he acknowledged.

The Taoiseach said Mr Donnelly's property had been declared publicly and"that is the important point." Eoin Ó Broin warned that a failure to do so could see the minister meet the same fate as Deputy Troy. He has characterised his failure to register his property with the RTB back in 2019 as an"oversight".

Everyone bitching but will anyone take up the gauntlet and do some about it?

Corrupt Kip

Mehole would accept ANY explanation about anything, to stay in power.

Only thing michael Martin should “accept “ is Donnelly’s resignation. !!!!

He's a joke

Of course he has.. one corrupt politician to another.. what these cretins forget is they answerable to the public and they will be held accountable

Face it, there was zero chance he was going to do anything else. One rule for us, no rules for them.

Lessons will be learnt till the next time they get caught

All today's TDs had great mentors, Charlie haughty and bertie, get in, grab.. Stay as long as you can, get out with the loot when caught,

MichealMartinTD YOU might accept his explanation but the fact of the matter is he broke the law - a law that if I broke I could face 6 months imprisonment for!

The whole lot need to resign and take RTE with you, disgraceful

Really. There's a surprise..

Us baldy assholes must stick together. The dogsvomit should be in Mountjoy the same as anyone else who fiddled his taxes. He should be company for the queer indian who should be serving life to mean life for committing treason. Ireland, how are ya.

Is this not a matter for criminal court and judge? Not the Tea Sock? I'm really getting sick of cronies protecting cronies... That's really the one Big Turn Off about the Republic of Ireland at this stage. Love the country, love the people... Fecking *hate* the government cronies

Oh he accepts it now so what the fuck does that mean?.. he can't keep his job that's for sure.. he shoo be getting scrutiny from everywhere thres no chance he can keep thst job now and if he it's down to his disgusting horrible friends around him... GET DONNELLY OUT

No surprise there then

They are going to do what they like and they don’t care what we think because they know we won’t do anything about it anyway

The dreaded vote of confidence. He'll be gone by the weekend so 😂

They all seem to be landlords, what gives?

' Through tatter'd clothes small vices do appear; Robes and furr'd gowns hide all.'

Great stuff 😊

Cronyism is alive and well in Ireland

They all accept corruption and with the help of their mates in the media, it all gets covered up.

it's absolutely disgraceful the salary and pensions perks these so-called politicians are on greed knows no boundaries MichealMartinTD is supportive of cronyism and corruption always been the fiannafailparty way

But MM don’t pay his wage. Irish ppl do. Stephen needs to go. Take MM with him.

Can we all move on? We are in the midst of a cost of living crisis, fuel and electricity price increases, higher inflation.

But the public don't accept any of their excuses.

Perhaps he reflected on the issue and lessons learned 🤮 why do we as a nation put up with this shite 😖

Off course he does he is a simpleton who lets his ministers run all over him Troy must be kicking himself for stepping down most corrupt gov this shower are

These 2men should go standing over yet another liar and accepting another good excouse

Of course he did. He was always going to. The old boys have each other back.

🤔

Of course he has. We are the bigger mogs for forgetting this shit when it comes to general elections because two many people can’t let go of the past of Sinn Fein. Time for change, they can’t do much worse then what these clowns have done.

He accepted Troy’s word too. Didn’t do him much good

Funny this bollox hasn't went public yet

And no doubt lessons will have been learnt

Sack him and do us all a favour. Useless as a so called minister and a crook that got caught

MichealMartinTD For goodness sake why are there no sanctions applied when TDs don't comply? This is basic stuff but the rule of thumb appears to be that they only comply when they or someone else gets caught. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Martin has no shame will say and do anything to keep power I wonder would a judge accept that from an ordenery joe soap

He will accept his resignation too

They all have their hands in the trough , while nothing gets done. The HSE is STILL a basket case and the CEO walks away with a pat on the back and a huge pension we pay for the rest of his life. No accountability, no leadership, just milking the system that they designed.

Of course he does. And on goes this thing of ours.

Will he accept mine? Or my neighbour’s? Will revenue also accept it? This is ridiculous. It is not at the Taoiseach’s discretion to waive other’s responsibilities under the law, nor pardon them of their consequential penalties.

What if the electorate don’t accept it though?

Shea08039680 Isn’t he a wonderfully forgiving man.🙈

Absolutely no way. Stephen Donnelly broke the law and he is not above the law. He must resign.

Now there's a surprise

Of course he does, all Rats the lot of them

The 'accidental landlord' who warns about accidents on trampolines

But he broke the law?

is it an actual requirement for fiannafailparty membership to be a landlord especially one that is an undeclared landlord?

Im shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Lawmaker breaks the laws ? This is shocking and he should be resigning LeoVaradkar MichealMartinTD

Does he accept that Stephen Donnelly lobbied for landlords and himself on four different occasions in the Dail?

Shocker

As Jimmy Greaves used to say “It’s a funny old game”

When the next election comes around, I hope Lessons have been learned from the electorate and not vote this corrupt bunch back in again....

Minority leader, willing accept any excuse really.

What a compassionate and understanding person mehole is. He realises that we are all human and liable to made errors. But these cnuts have made more of their fair share of human errors as they proceed to destroy this country with hyper inflation, national debt and immigration.

👇 he needs to resign. Crooks protecting crooks.

The real question is: Did he tick the box on his tax return to say the property was registered with the RTB?

corrupt to the core one rule for them one rule for the peasants

It’s tax fraud to claim mortgage interest if not registered with RTB

Oh Jesus Christ ☹️

I'd expect nothing less than cronyism and corruption from this bunch of grifters

No wonder MichealMartinTD was booed at Béal na Bláth The public see right through him if only RTE would

Well he has done nothing but cost this country billions and countless lives, left the use on its knees, it seems this failure can get away with anything

Does he? We don’t.

Of course he does just like he accepted Mr Troy and many others like him

He has to, there’s no one left to make a minister if this one has to resign too. Already recycling Calleary 🤣🤣

We ... The People ... don't.

Lessons have been learned 😂 bunch of gangsters everyone of them

Off course he does like a peas in pod “People want change people want accountability I hear that on the doors” MichealMartinTD fiannafailparty last ever Taoiseach a parcel of rouges the lot of them

So does RTE, I bet!

Did Donnelly claim Mortgage Interest Relief with Revenue in the absence of his RTB registration? Because that wouldn’t be cool… Is there one journalist out there than can ask that? Anyone

Cartel a coalition or cooperative arrangement between political parties intended to promote a mutual interest.

Ah sure you accepted Troys explanation, Leo Varadkars explanation and Simon Coveney's explanation. As they say 'birds of a feather ...'

Of course he does...but would he accept mine, don't think so!!!

Of course he does, why wouldn't he, allinittogether allforthemselves govermentgreed croyism

Lessons have been learned no doubt.
