After all, it is your “right.”This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. It protects the rights each of us has without imposing them on others.

“Rather, the right to adequate housing covers measures that are needed to prevent homelessness, prohibit forced evictions, address discrimination, focus on the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, ensure security of tenure to all, and guarantee that everyone’s housing is adequate.”

Nothing should be free. Because somebody has to pay for it. Give them bricks. And let the homeless build their own shelter. then - they will really take care of it.

Free ride for the weak? No. Housing is. It a right, it has always been bought or built, not given simply because a person exists.

Toronto Community Housing Corporation is the largest social housing provider in Canada and the second-largest in North America. It owns and manages 60,000 rental housing units. $billions in repair backlog. I think we've done enough to provide housing.

Not it's not!! I'm responsible only for my own kids! Why should I be paying taxes to house a junkie or bum? Reinstate mental institution and rest are on their own. Find the a job!

We're paying one way or another. It's either hidden or out in the open. But the cost is there and there's no escaping it. Deal with it and stop pretendng that it won't affect you. It's in your face every day.

🤦‍♂️

no one has a right to other peoples property

Hope not taxpayers $$$$😡🤬

Most homeless are Drug addicts or suffer from Mental Illness. You need to treat this in order to stop homeless!

Someone's gotta foot the bill when there's free stuff

Housing is not a right. It can’t be in any liberal society.

Wages have not risen in decades. Justin said 'it's simple, just sit down and talk to your boss' Reality: 'hey boss, I need a raise' Boss: 'get thicker shoes. Now get back to work you're costing the shareholders money'

no one

If someone else has to pay for it, it isn't a right.

easy the fix just get ride of refugees & Migrants plenty of housing there

Taxes. what else. and I support that. Its the rent we pay to have a decent society

Oh thank god, worried you'd back yourself into a corner Jerry. Glad tax payer money is subsidizing your salary for these masterpieces

It is not a 'right'.

Common, it's late, give us some break To sit on sofa beside honey Forget of housing so freak Tomorrow Tuesday, next day coming

A Manitoba First Nation's outside-the-box solution to its housing crisisNorway House Cree Nation has more people than homes to house them, a problem that an innovative housing company is hoping to solve by making modular homes out of sea cans. Great idea Yassss!!!! Ok municipalities across the nation especially in de sky populated areas have to shed the old ways and accept the notion and approve the build of mini modular homes. Imagine how much your life would improve if you got an education, got a good paying job and paid taxes which could be used to improve the state of the reservation instead of living off the handouts, after the Chiefs and their friends syphon off their cut.
